Party chief

The Party Chief is the individual that represents a company in the field. The Party Chief is responsible for making sure that the survey team and all of the equipment is ready for an upcoming field task. The Party Chief must ensure that the work is performed to company standards and satisfaction in accordance with the signed contract. The Party Chief makes sure that the results are always presented in a manner that is efficient, timely and above all professional. The Party Chief is present onboard the vessel during marine operation as well as for onsite land operations, directing and leading the survey team. At times, the Party Chief may also need to fill in for the role of Engineer, Surveyor or Geophysicist while executing the work according to the special talents of the Party Chief.
