Civil engineer

The Civil Engineer provides expertise for early oil projects all the way through all of the engineering phases, including commissioning and start up, conceptual design, construction, detailed design and front-end engineering. A Civil Engineer aids in the development of the project by working offshore to gather fluid, conduct treatments, allow new drilling and compress a portion of the gas for reinjection. The Civil Engineer collects and treats any sour gas from offshore, stores it and exports the oil. Civil Engineers also work on pipelines to effectively link all of the areas of the project and make marketing of the gas and oil possible.
