SeeByte Cycle for Success
The Etape Caledonia is a yearly event in which over 4,000 cyclists take to the roads to raise awareness for their chosen charities.
Over the past five months, SeeByte staff have braved the wind, rain and snow to train and improve their skills and endurance for this testing event. With an imposed time-restriction of 6 hours and 15 minutes, the SeeByte team achieved impressive completion times ranging from 4 hours 44 minutes to 5 hours 44 minutes.
Tarik Rahman, an engineer at SeeByte, managed to surpass his target time by over twenty minutes. "You get such a buzz from participating in an event of this scale, not to mention the pleasure gained from helping a charity as vital as Erskine that allows us to support our ex-Service men and women. The past five months of training have been tough, but it was a great way to spend some time with colleagues and really challenge myself. We worked together as a team and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we are proud of what we achieved on Sunday.
John Fyfe, Area Coordinator for Erskine, commented: "I commend the efforts of the SeeByte team. They have trained hard and raised a significant amount of money which is greatly appreciated by all the ex-Service men and women cared for by Erskine."
