Sea Surveillance Information System for Lithuania

Transas Baltic has signed a contract with Lithuanian Armed Forces to supply and install the Lithuanian Navy Sea Surveillance Information System (SSIS). The Command and Control Centre will be equipped with the latest version of Transas Navi-Harbour maritime surveillance and information service solution. The system will provide traffic tracking and logging, traffic management in relevant areas of responsibility and coordination of marine operations including Search and Rescue.



In addition the SSIS will be integrated with Fishery Ships Surveillance System. Transas will supply and install a complete solution which will include Transas sea surveillance system software and dedicated hardware, system modules and sensors, integration of external sensors into the SSIS and end-user training.


The System will comprise of operator workstations located in Command and Control Centre and Remote Sensor Sites located along the Lithuania coast.


This project follows another Lithuanian Armed Forces project - implementation of national GMDSS system in Lithuania, performed by Transas in 2008.
