Marine survey company EMU, UK, has published its financial report for year ending 30th November 2010, showing over GBP15m turnover, which is an increase from the 2009 figure of GBP7.5m. During the same period employee numbers have climbed from 105 to 150, including both technical and support staff.
Last year’s increased turnover reflects the growing demand to meet Round 3 Offshore Windfarm projects with major clients including Hornsea, Dogger Bank and London Array. Marine Aggregates have always been a major plank of Emu’s activity and 2010 was no exception. The year saw the completion of the 5 year Marine Aggregates Regional Environmental Assessment (MAREA) for the South Coast Dredging Association and an expanding brief for the Anglian Offshore Dredging Association which more over commissioned Emu to undertake a full MAREA following their completion of the initial Scoping Stage.
