Economic Impact Award for Bluefin Robotics

Bluefin Robotics, USA, was named a Gold Winner in MassEcon's (The Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development) Seventh Annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards. These awards celebrate companies from across the state that have made outstanding contributions to the Massachusetts economy.

Over the last year, Bluefin has renovated a 54,000 square foot building in Quincy's Fore River Shipyard into an up to date facility for its business. Bluefin will move its Cambridge headquarters and East Boston marine operations outfit to the new South Street address later this month.

David P. Kelly, CEO and president of Bluefin Robotics said that the new facility provides more flexible and efficient workspace. He finds The Shipyard a perfect locale for the company to further expand its operations, bringing new high-tech jobs to the South Shore.

According to Susan Houston, executive director of MassEcon , the winners of the Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards all have outstanding stories, from adding jobs, to office expansion, to the positive ways in which they impact their communities.
