Award for Brazilian Hydrographic Paper

The Directing Committee of the International Hydrographic Organization, Monaco, has awarded the Prince Albert Ist Medal for Hydrography 2012 to the article "Multibeam Processing for Nautical Charts" authored by LCdr. Aluizio Macel de Oliveira and Cdr. Izabel King Jeck, both from the Directorate of Hydrography and Navigation (DHN), Brazilian Navy, Brazil.
The presentation of the Prince Albert Ist Medal for Hydrography 2012 is to be made by HSH Prince Albert II at the Opening Ceremony of the XVIIIth International Hydrographic Conference (Monaco) on Monday, 23rd April 2012.
The award was assigned based on replies on the call for nominations made in an earlier Circular Letter of the IHO by Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Republic of Korea , Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Tunisia, UK and USA.
