Acoustic Release Launch

ORE Offshore is releasing the SPORT acoustic release bringing the reliability and easy-to-use features of the standard Push Off Release Transponder (PORT) and puts it into a light-weight easy-to-handle package. The new Shallow-water Push Off Release Transponder (SPORT), suited for shallow water and small boat deployments, comes in a variety of configurations.

 

 

The pop-up configuration is an all-in-one design with flotation, acoustic ranging, acoustic tilt information and release functions all built in to a one-person deployable unit. The SPORT can also be used in a standard in-line mooring or it can be laid on its side to easily fit into a trawl resistant bottom mount (TRBM). With its light-weight housing and corrosion resistant Ultem push-off link, it can withstand the harshest shallow water environments.
